We built Clank! in our back yard over two years ago.
The reason it was named Clank! is when
we first put it together and was testing it we had a 6 cylinder
engine out of a old Chevy truck
and each time I shifted the gears it would announce its name!
Clank!
Well, we got rid of that engine of course but kept the
name! Found a Ford Engine that had
been in a pulling truck. So `Ford Engine' meant we'd need a `Ford
body'! Made a trip to the
junk yard! Nuff Said. We couldn't find tires at first but then we
located a nice set and felt we
we're ready to race!
Showed up at a fair and unloaded the truck! Turned out
there weren't no race so we rode the
Ferris wheel a couple times, ate some food, bought the kids
trinkets and left! Our second show
turned out a little better. Over seventy people showed up and
stayed while we worked on the
truck! Later they were rewarded by a autograph party and
complimentary rides on the Ferris
Wheel! We plan to take fuel to our next show! This gets better
ever time!
Our next show was canceled when we sold the truck to a
orchardist! He uses the truck to haul
people around his 'pick your own' farm! After hearing of our
success with the Ferris wheel he
is now looking for his own Carnival Rides!
